Employee Appreciation Day and International Women Day
On Tuesday, 7 March and Thursday, 9 March 2023, the Valenza Engineering team celebrated Employee Appreciation Day and International Women’s Day at the office in Melbourne, Australia.
Employee Appreciation day is an annual event typically celebrated on the first Friday in March every year. Valenza Engineering is proud to offer its staff a hybrid, or wholly remote working environment, depending on personal needs, and as such the decision was made to celebrate this event the following Thursday, when the majority of the Melbourne team would be present in-office.
Employee Appreciation Day is the perfect opportunity for the executive and management teams at Valenza Engineering to show how much the hard work our people do each and every day is appreciated and valued. As an employer, Valenza Engineering understands that employee dedication and effort plays a vital role in the growth and success of our company. By taking the time to show appreciation to our employees, we continue to build upon a positive work culture, boost morale, and increase personal job satisfaction.

On 7 March 2023, we further celebrated International Women’s Day, which fell on a Wednesday this year (8 March), a day when our office is working from home, so we brought it forward by a to recognise the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women around the world, but most relevant to us, those women working in and with our company. We see IWD as a day to solidify our commitment to women’s progress and promote gender equality in the engineering and professional consulting fields. As a company, Valenza Engineering is proud of its gender-diverse workforce, and to solidify our commitment to promoting gender diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
On IWD 2023 we recognised and extended our thanks to the brilliant, international team of women, whose achievements and contributions break down the walls of gender inequality and stereotypes, and promote equal opportunity for women in what has long been a male-dominated industry. Hiring and investing in a gender-diverse team not only boosts employee morale, but through recruitment and retention also builds customer loyalty, and improves financial performance.
